This is a cluster panel I co-organised with Wong Ka Ying and Lee Tzu-Tung (Taiwan). We are a group of not only scholar and researcher, but also artist, activist and curator. This cluster session, in a workshop format, aims to foster open exchanges, allowing participants to connect and discuss how personal experiences can be translated into art-making and pedagogical practices in-between the institutional settings.

Collectively, this 3-hour cluster aspires to create an inclusive space that encourages dialogue across different identities and experiences. By engaging with Inter-Asian and cultural studies frameworks, participants will collaboratively explore strategies for communication, healing, and support within marginalized communities.
In my section, I focus on the possibilities of building connections among Asian contemporary art and cultural practitioners, addressing the career struggles faced by mid-career women in the art sector. Through facilitating inter-Asia networking opportunities beyond governmental levels as well as developing a constructivist pedagogy for contemporary art and culture with a gender lens in a non-Western, global context, my practice underscores the significance of intersectionality. I am also interesting in exploring how to create a supportive network that addresses the unique challenges that women artists face in Asia, while also encouraging peer support, collaboration and co-learning.
